Yes absolutely, Hippos do wonder the streets at night and occasionally during daylight hours. Please do keep your distance from these animals at all times. 

Absolutely especially for those warm days after a day out exploring enjoy the pristine clear pool .

Lodge Afrique is situated within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park which happens to be South Africa's very first world heritage site. Other than that one may enjoy near-perfect beach conditions year-round and of course a stroll to the estuary makes for some amazing and incredible sightings.
