It’s official Heritage Tours & Safaris are the very first Safari Company based in St Lucia to offer Free Wifi.

Heritage Tours & Safaris offer a magnitude of safari excursions in the area of KwaZulu Natal from transfers to game drive safaris and boat safaris on the largest Estuary in Africa. The move to offer wifi while out on safari with Heritage Tours has taken quite some time this being due to connection issues in the area. Furthermore the company is currently experimenting with various routers within the various reserves in order to provide 3G to their clients. At present the company is happy to announce that its pre testing on the St Lucia Estuary has been an absolute success and that they are now able to offer free 3g wifi to all of their clients while out on the Hippo & Boat Safari trips. “3 G is available believe it or not close to the majority of the Hippo Pods, this is incredible and we are incredibly excited that clients wanting to upload pictures in real time can now do it”

Asked why the company wanted to offer wifi, this was their response. Clients traveling in todays age are so much more connected and in touch with their families and friends that we felt that with the incredible wildlife possibilities in the area what a better way of getting it out into the world. We do not feel as we are going overboard with technology nor will this interfere with the service levels that we offer while out on safari. It is merely a fun and exciting way to have our clients share their incredible journey through our magnificent Country.

Heritage Tours & Safaris manages two vessels on Lake St Lucia the second wifi router will shortly be installed onto the second vessel after intitial trials proved incredibly successful, from their the company will be adding additional units to their Open Game Drive Safari Vehicles they pointed out though that coverage is incredibly limited but that they would offer a stop over at various places within the park for coverage. Their fleet of transfer vehicles will now also be WIFI free adding yet more service to their product range.
