It is estimated that their are approximately 800 hippo's in the area and 1200 Nile crocodiles. They are very docile however please do not ever approach them and always keep your distance.

From November one can witness turtles along the beaches, during the winter months one can see the humpback whales that migrate of the shores of St Lucia.
