Mkuze Game Reserve is situated approximately 120km north of St Lucia, and is also part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park ( World Heritage Site ), proclaimed  by Unesco in 1999. This birders paradise is said to have more than 400 species that may be viewed during the year. Its a wildlife paradise without the husle and bustle of the larger game reserve’s within South Africa. 40 000 hectares makes this Game Reserve large in size yet easy to navigate, Mkuze Game Reserve offers the Big 4 and with some incredible hides situated within the borders of the reserve one can sit and enjoy the magnificent views. The Mkuze river runs through the reserve and along its banks Nile crocodiles and Hippo’s may be seen as well at the various pans in the Mkuze Game Reserve.
