St Lucia is a world heritage site, with the St Lucia Estuary on the Western banks and the Indian Ocean on the western Banks one could therefore almost state that this is an island.
On the map one can easily see that the town is also surrounded by a green belt therefore few accommodation establishments offer sea view. Hippo’s do roam the streets at night and so do the elusive Leopards on occasion. Its a wildlife paradise with so much to see and do. For more maps and information please do goto the front page.
The Indian Ocean offers warm tropical water year round and unfortunately no bathing in the St Lucia Estuary due to the resident population of Hippo’s and Crocodiles. From self guided hikes, cycling routes, swimming in the ocean or just switching the cell phone off and relaxing you would be surprised what you can see and do while in the area.
