Hluhluwe Umfolozi Safari Options - What's Included
Departing directly from St Lucia each morning all Hluhluwe Imfolozi Safaris include complimentary transfers, alternatively, you may also meet us at the Parks entrance, Imfolozi side (Nyalazi Gate).
All of the Big 5 Safaris in the Hluhluwe Umfolozi include all Gate Fees and Conservation Levies. Catering is included on all safaris however please see product-specific catering for each Safari.
All Open Game Drive Vehicles carry additional coolers with bottled waters, blankets are also available for those cooler mornings.
Hluhluwe Umfolozi - Information
Rich in history from years gone by when King Shaka used the Umfolozi as his personal hunting grounds, or when this park saved the Rhinos from near extinction, you are in for a true treat.
As the name indicates this park was previously divided into two separate parks, however today you too may traverse through both parks. The northern side of the (Hluhluwe) and the southern side of the (Umfolozi) offer a unique and incredible possibility of witnessing some amazing wildlife.
The Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park is the largest public park in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. It truly is an amazing park with rolling hills in the North and open savannah-like plains in the South. On the day of the safari your ranger will let you know which of the sides you will be visiting, please note this will however predominantly be the Southern side (Umfolozi) due to its size and prevalent wildlife species.
Hluhluwe Umfolozi Safari - What to Bring Along
If possible a camera, that's about it. We will take care of the rest for you. During the cooler months (June to Aug) maybe take a light jacket along as it is a bit cooler in the mornings. All of the vehicles do have extra blankets and all sides of the vehicles do close up during the transfer.
Wear comfortable clothing and during the warmer months please bring sunblock along. Once again the vehicles do carry additional coolers with bottled waters.
