From the minute I spoke to the owner Mandy to the minute I was dropped off at the airport, I was treated like a family member by everyone associated with At Heritage House. I spent a week last month here celebrating my 50th birthday, on my own. However, I felt very safe and looked after by Thea and her staff. They’ve arranged flowers, cake, and a card for my birthday along with gifts from the management for my birthday.

My room was excellent. It was spacious, and immaculate, and was cleaned every day. The outside area was beautifully set out with undercover seating for breakfast and a small pool. Pool towels are provided in the room as well. It is not far from the main road, where all the restaurants and shops are.

What makes this fantastic accommodation fabulous is the manageress, Thea. She treats everyone like her family and takes the time to help the guests. I was on my own, she came with me every night to dinner and took me on Hippo hunt after. Thea also sells beautiful souvenirs at the property for a very reasonable price. I feel that I now have a friend for life.

We had a lovely stay, all was neat and clean, and breakfast was excellent. Congratulations to Thea and her staff for running an awesome little home away from home, they were all friendly and especially Thea who helped us book a whale watching trip and organize everything while we were on our safari trip.

She and her staff also served us breakfast after a late return! Thank you to all involved for making our safari trip a memorable one!!

We stayed for two nights during a tour package, and everything was seamless. We were welcomed with drinks and snacks and given a thorough tour. The rooms were spacious, very well-equipped, and extremely comfortable. The environment was very peaceful, and we really felt at home, able to help ourselves to snacks, drinks, and coffee at will.

The breakfast was excellent and very generous. Most of all, each of the staff members was extremely friendly and professional and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.
We really felt at home here, and would highly recommend Heritage House as a place to stay!

We stayed 2 nights as part of a tour of South Africa and were not disappointed. The beautiful historic house was in an excellent place just 2 mins walk to the unique resort of St Lucia. Fine accommodation home from home with all you could need. Huge comfortable bed beautiful shower room and wonderful lounges.

Breakfast was personally cooked to order everything was just perfect. Near to shops and restaurants where we actually saw a hippo walking down the street, it was amazing.

The wonderful thing is At Heritage House they also own a tour company so you can enjoy lots of local tours and a Safari into the Wetlands to see Crocs Hippos and the Big 5. With excellent rangers picking you up directly from the house is very convenient. Wished we had longer there!
